Consulates in Australia is an independent information portal about the foreign embassies, high commissions, consulates and honorary consuls that serve people living in or travelling to Australia.
We started it because finding the right office was harder than it should be. Most directories repeat the same list of addresses, many of them years out of date, and none of them answer the first question people have: which office covers my state?
What we do
- We list every foreign mission and consular post in Australia, from the embassies in Canberra to honorary consuls in regional towns.
- We show the consular district of each office, so you know where your case belongs.
- We describe only the consular procedures that each country actually publishes, with the source link and the date we checked it.
- We point you to the official channels for appointments, forms and payments.
What we are not
We are not an embassy, a consulate, a government agency or a visa or migration service. We are not affiliated with the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade or with any foreign government. We do not issue documents, book appointments or charge for consular procedures.
How the portal is funded
The portal is free to use and is funded by advertising served by Google AdSense. Advertising never decides which offices or procedures we include, and we do not accept payments to list or rank anyone.
How we keep it accurate
Office details come from the Australian Government's official diplomatic and consular lists, and every procedure from the country's own official pages. You can read the full process on how we check the data.
Help us keep it right
If an address, phone number or procedure has changed, let us know. We check every report against the official source before updating the page.
