Barbadian citizens abroad, including in Australia, apply for an ordinary passport through the Immigration Department in Bridgetown. Overseas missions can help with applications but do not issue passports.
Where to apply in Australia
No resident mission in Australia: the High Commission of Barbados in London is listed as accredited to Australia (per the DFAT-based post list). The service itself is delivered by Barbados-based departments, so people in Australia deal with them by post or online.
Contact details for every office are on the page of the embassy and consulates of Barbados.
How to apply
Download Form A (16 and over) or Form B (under 16) from immigration.gov.bb | complete it with the supporting documents | courier the package with a bank draft and a prepaid return waybill to the Immigration Department, Bridgetown
Documents you need
- Form A or Form B
- Expired passport
- Two passport photos certified and signed by a notary public
- Documents supporting any name change
- Birth certificate no longer required for reapplication
Fees and processing time
- Official fee: child 10-day US$56; adult 10-day US$81; 2-5 day US$119; next-day US$157 (bank draft payable to the Chief Immigration Officer)

Good to know
Foreign Ministry consular services page shows no date; the passport postal steps are presented there as temporary COVID-19 measures, so check they still apply. The Ministry's missions list did not show the London High Commission or Australia, so accreditation rests on the DFAT-based post list.
