The Belgian embassy in Canberra also receives long-stay visa applications for Luxembourg from people planning to stay more than 90 days, including Australian citizens. Luxembourg's immigration directorate decides most cases and the foreign ministry decides Work and Holiday visas.

Residents of QLD, TAS, NT, SA or more than 2 hours from a centre email the embassy for instructions; official/diplomatic passport holders and family of EU citizens apply at the embassy by appointment.
