Bolivians renew their passport in person at the embassy after their identity data is verified in the SEGIP system. A first passport has a separate page on the same site.

Where to apply in Australia

No mission in Australia: handled by the Embassy of Bolivia in Ottawa, Canada (130 Albert St, Suite 416), which announced a mobile consulate for Australia and New Zealand on 1 Nov 2024 (no details published).

Contact details for every office are on the page of the embassy and consulates of Bolivia.

How to apply

Email copies of your passport data page, birth certificate and ID to bolivia@bolivianembassy.ca for SEGIP verification | wait for the emailed appointment (currently Tuesdays and Thursdays 12:00-15:00) | attend in person with the documents and a prepaid tracked return envelope | pay by money order

Documents you need

Fees and processing time

Processing time: About 30 days for the passport to arrive; data capture about 30 minutes.

Good to know

The embassy's service pages do not mention Australia; they are written for applicants in Canada (for example Canadian notaries and Global Affairs Canada), so steps may differ for Australia-based applicants. Page dates not shown.
