Estonian citizens in Australia renew an Estonian passport and/or ID card online, by post to the police in Tallinn, or in person at the embassy. A personal visit is needed only when fingerprints are no longer valid or the applicant is a child who has turned 12.
Where to apply in Australia
Embassy of Estonia, 12 Darwin Avenue, Yarralumla ACT (Canberra), covering Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, PNG, Samoa, Tonga and Vanuatu; fingerprint and in-person visits also happen at periodic consular missions to state capitals.
Consular missions to state capitals (e.g. Melbourne 20 October, Perth 1-2 December per the embassy page) take fingerprints and applications; the Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide and New Zealand missions have no announced date and use waiting lists. Honorary consuls are not listed as handling passports.
Contact details for every office are on the page of the embassy and consulates of Estonia.
