Bangladeshi citizens in Australia apply for the e-Passport online and then give biometrics at the mission. Re-issue requires showing the old passport; applicants abroad may use the online birth registration certificate instead of a national ID card.
Where to apply in Australia
High Commission of Bangladesh in Canberra (O'Malley, ACT), which also runs consular camps in other cities (2026 camps announced for Darwin, Melbourne and Perth). A Consulate-General is listed in Sydney (NSW).
Contact details for every office are on the page of the embassy and consulates of Bangladesh.
How to apply
Fill in the application on the national e-Passport portal, pay the fee, attend the High Commission (or a consular camp) for biometric enrolment with the original documents, and collect the passport with the delivery slip; an authorised representative can collect it.

Good to know
Fee page 'last updated 12 July 2026'; instructions page updated 3 August 2026. Under-18s receive 5-year, 48-page passports. Delivery times on the portal apply inside Bangladesh. The High Commission's own service pages (e-Passport, MRP FAQ, lost passport, NVR, visa FAQ, attestation, forms) were migrated to a new portal and currently show titles without text, so mission-specific steps could not be confirmed.
