Bhutanese citizens in Australia and New Zealand can apply for a new or renewed Bhutanese passport entirely by email through the embassy in Canberra, with no in-person appointment. Lost and damaged passports are handled with extra steps and a fine.
Where to apply in Australia
Royal Bhutanese Embassy, Deakin, Canberra (ACT), serving Bhutanese in Australia and New Zealand; honorary consulates exist in Sydney (NSW), Brisbane (QLD) and Melbourne (VIC).
Handled by the embassy in Canberra only; honorary consulates are not named as passport offices. Passports applied for through the G2C system or the Passport Division in Thimphu are printed in Thimphu and cannot be collected here. A damaged passport must be sent to the embassy for cancellation before processing starts.
Contact details for every office are on the page of the embassy and consulates of Bhutan.
How to apply
