Danish citizens aged 18 or over in Australia apply for a biometric Danish passport in person at a mission, where a digital photo, fingerprints and signature are captured. It covers renewals and first passports; the application must be signed in front of staff.
Where to apply in Australia
Royal Danish Embassy, Canberra (ACT) and Royal Danish Consulate-General, Sydney (NSW) take full applications; the honorary consulate in Melbourne (VIC) also takes passport applications and Auckland (NZ) is listed too. Other honorary consulates (Adelaide, Brisbane, Darwin, Hobart, Perth) handle only extensions, emergency passports and children under 12.
Sydney uses an online booking system. Embassy and Sydney accept card payment only (not American Express or Diners Club). Melbourne and Auckland: contact the honorary consulate directly. Melbourne offers passport renewals on the third Thursday of each month (no July slot); a mobile biometric kit visits Brisbane (next 4-5 March 2027) and Perth (13 April 2027) per the consulates page.
Contact details for every office are on the page of the embassy and consulates of Denmark.

Good to know
None of the pages show a date; the downloadable application form's file name references April 2021. The hand-out PDF and the passport-service-abroad PDF contain no fee amounts. Passports for children under 12 are accepted at honorary consulates but no separate child-passport page was found.
