Singapore citizens living in Australia can apply for or renew a Singapore passport either online through ICA's e-service or by posting a paper application to the High Commission. Adult passports are valid 10 years and children's (under 16) 5 years.
Where to apply in Australia
High Commission of the Republic of Singapore, 17 Forster Crescent, Yarralumla ACT 2600 (the only Singapore post in Australia; serves the whole country). Consular section open Mon-Fri 8:30-12:30 and 13:30-17:00, closed on ACT public holidays and 9 August.
Collection in person at the Canberra High Commission needs an appointment; walk-ins are not accepted. If travel to Canberra is not possible the passport can be posted/couriered at the applicant's cost after a video identity check.

How to apply
Online: apply on the ICA e-service with Singpass and choose Canberra as the collection centre; pay by card or internet banking | Post: send the ICA overseas passport form with photo, photocopies and an Australian money order/bank cheque to the Consular Officer at the High Commission | collect the new passport in person (appointment) or arrange posting after a video identity check | every applicant including children must appear in person at least once (on applying or collecting)
Documents you need
- Singapore citizenship
- Digital white-background colour photo taken within 3 months (JPEG 400x514 px, max 150 KB) for online applications, or one printed photo for postal ones
- Postal route: completed ICA overseas form, photocopy of current passport, Australian email/mobile/address sheet, copy of exit permit or exemption notice (males), photocopy of NRIC (16+) or consenting parent's NRIC (under 16), birth or citizenship certificate copy for under-16s or those without NRIC, marriage certificate or deed poll if name changed
- Old passport is submitted for cancellation at collection
Fees and processing time
- Official fee: SGD 70 online (card/internet banking)
- Other charges: AUD 92 for postal applications (Australian money order or bank cheque payable to the High Commission; cash and personal cheques refused)
Processing time: 3-4 weeks online; 4-6 weeks postal, if documents are complete. Uncollected passports are cancelled after 3 months..
