The Gambia: Legalisation of documents in Australia

  • Checked 24 October 2026

Check with the office. The official pages for this service leave out some details, or are older than a year. Use this page as a starting point and confirm fees and documents before you apply.

Documents issued in the UK are notarised and apostilled before the High Commission legalises them for use in The Gambia.

Where to apply in Australia

No mission in Australia: handled by the Gambia High Commission in London (57 Kensington Court), by in-person visit or post. The site says it serves countries it is concurrently accredited to but does not name Australia.

Contact details for every office are on the page of the embassy and consulates of The Gambia.

How to apply

Notarise the document, obtain the apostille from the UK authority, then submit it to the High Commission
