Australian personal and commercial documents for use in the UAE are attested digitally through the UAE foreign ministry website; one application covers both the Embassy in Canberra and the ministry in the UAE. Documents must first be authenticated or apostilled by DFAT.

Where to apply in Australia

Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in Canberra (ACT); attestation is handled online with courier pickup anywhere in Australia.

Contact details for every office are on the page of the embassy and consulates of the United Arab Emirates.

How to apply

Log in to the UAE MoFA website with UAE Pass, choose the attestation service and Australia as the issuing country, complete the form and pay. An approved courier collects the original documents (within 24 hours of payment, with an air waybill to attach), you receive the attested document by email, and the originals are returned by courier.

Applications are handled through MoFA-approved courier service provider (booked through mofa.gov.ae).
