For Danish citizens whose passport is about to expire or expired within the last three months and who must travel now, the mission can extend the existing passport for the length of the trip, up to one year. It is a stop-gap rather than a new passport.
Where to apply in Australia
Danish missions and honorary consulates in Australia (Canberra, Sydney, Adelaide, Brisbane, Darwin, Hobart, Melbourne, Perth). Combined new-passport-plus-extension applications only at Canberra, Sydney and the Melbourne honorary consulate.
Opening arrangements differ by honorary consulate (e.g. Brisbane Tue and Thu 12-2pm by appointment; Hobart Mon-Fri 10am-4pm; Adelaide and Perth by appointment only).
Contact details for every office are on the page of the embassy and consulates of Denmark.
