A marriage held in Australia involving a Hungarian citizen is registered in Hungary via the consular office so the marriage and any married name are recognised. A Hungarian marriage certificate is issued afterwards.

Embassy of Hungary in Canberra (ACT), Consular Office of Hungary in Sydney (NSW, all of New South Wales, Level 11, 309 Kent Street) and Consular Office of Hungary in Melbourne (Fitzroy North, VIC; covers Victoria, South Australia and Tasmania).
