New Zealand citizens in Australia apply online to the Department of Internal Affairs; the High Commission and consulates do not issue or renew passports. An in-person passport office operates in Sydney by appointment, and urgent passports can be collected there.
Where to apply in Australia
Online via passports.govt.nz; New Zealand Passport Office, Level 22, 20 Bond Street, Sydney NSW (appointment only, 10am-3pm weekdays) for all of Australia.
The High Commission and consulates in Canberra, Sydney and Melbourne cannot renew or replace passports.
