National ID card - new, adult – Eritrea in Australia

Adults born to an Eritrean father and/or mother can apply for an Eritrean National ID through the consulate by sending a checklist and documents with payment.

How to apply

Complete the ID Checklist | send passport copy, four photos, parents' ID copies (or witnesses) and proof of payment with a prepaid return envelope | the original checklist is signed after the first one is received

Copies of both sides of Eritrean parents' IDs, or three Eritrean ID holders over 40 as witnesses, or an authorised person in Eritrea to verify nationality

Official fee: AUD 120 plus AUD 25 for each year over age 25
