Since 1 April 2025 Australian passport holders need an approved visa before travelling to Namibia; none is granted at the border. The consulate does not issue visas but guides applicants through the national eServices portal and offers help with questions.

Consulate-General of Namibia (honorary), Mosman NSW, which serves all of Australia; no embassy or high commission resident in Australia is listed. Visa applications themselves are made online with the Namibian Ministry of Home Affairs, Immigration, Safety and Security (MHAISS).

How to apply
Register on the eServices portal and confirm your email | choose the Visa on Arrival application (not the Holiday Visa) | complete one application per traveller on a computer in a single sitting, as drafts cannot be saved | upload passport scan, small photo, itinerary and a bank-balance statement with sensitive details masked | pay online by card, then download and print the approved visa | the consulate offers a step-by-step guide and email help

- Passport valid at least 6 months with 3 blank pages
- Recent photo (300 KB to 2 MB)
- Itinerary details
- Statement of financial balances
- Invitation letter if invited

Fees and processing time
- Official fee: NAD 1,600 per adult and NAD 800 per child (children under 6 free) for nationals such as Australians, per the fact sheet; harbour arrivals at Luderitz and Walvis Bay pay an extra NAD 300 per person per day
Processing time: Not published; apply in advance because approval is needed before entry.
Good to know
Fee table comes from the ministry fact sheet version 4 dated 28 May 2025, over 12 months old and marked subject to review; the consulate's own page says it lists no fees. Dual nationals and residents holding a foreign passport apply through eServices as well.
