Check with the office. The official pages for this service leave out some details, or are older than a year. Use this page as a starting point and confirm fees and documents before you apply.

First-time passport applicants abroad must first establish Seychellois citizenship and obtain a national identity number and a Letter of ID, then proceed to biometric enrolment.

Where to apply in Australia

No resident Seychelles mission in Australia (the High Commission accredited to Australia is based abroad). Applications go by post and email to the Immigration and Civil Status Department in Victoria, Seychelles; the page names diaspora@mfa.gov.sc (Foreign Affairs Department) as the contact for Australia and Canada residents.

Contact details for every office are on the page of the embassy and consulates of the Seychelles.

How to apply

Establish citizenship | submit birth certificate and other required documents authenticated at the nearest High Court in the country of residence | receive a Letter of ID | forward it to the relevant embassy or high commission | complete enrolment, payment and collection as for renewals

Documents you need

Fees and processing time

Processing time: About three weeks after enrolment.

Good to know

Official page ics.gov.sc has no date; fee table uses the narration code DICS2024, suggesting a 2024 schedule, so fees may have changed. Overseas passports are couriered to the relevant embassy or high commission and collected by appointment there, but the page does not name the mission for Australia.
