Foreign visitors to Tanzania apply online through the immigration visa portal and pay online; the Perth honorary consulate states it does not issue visas. The Jakarta Embassy describes single-entry, multiple-entry, transit and business categories.
Where to apply in Australia
Online via the Tanzania immigration portals; not issued by the Honorary Consulate in Perth. The Embassy in Jakarta also accepts visa applications in person. No resident mission in Australia; the mission accredited from abroad is the Embassy in Jakarta, Indonesia (Jl. Iskandarsyah II No.89A, Melawai, Jakarta Selatan; jakarta@nje.go.tz; +62 11 720 2410). Honorary Consulates exist in Perth (WA, also covering QLD, NSW, NT), Melbourne (VIC and TAS) and Adelaide (SA) but their pages offer no consular services beyond representation. The Jakarta Embassy pages do not name Australia in the text read, so its accreditation to Australia rests on the Australian government listing.
Perth consulate: 'does not issue visas'. Jakarta Embassy: visa section 08:30-12:30, collection 14:00-15:30 (Monday-Friday).

Fees come from the Jakarta Embassy visa page (copyright 2026, no fee date) and may differ on the portal. Australia is not mentioned on the visa-exempt or referral lists read. The transit validity on that page is internally inconsistent.
