Families sending the body of a deceased person to Tanzania submit the death and transport paperwork to the accredited Embassy, which issues permission immediately if the documents are accepted.
Where to apply in Australia
Embassy of Tanzania, Jakarta (accredited mission). No resident mission in Australia; the mission accredited from abroad is the Embassy in Jakarta, Indonesia (Jl. Iskandarsyah II No.89A, Melawai, Jakarta Selatan; jakarta@nje.go.tz; +62 11 720 2410). Honorary Consulates exist in Perth (WA, also covering QLD, NSW, NT), Melbourne (VIC and TAS) and Adelaide (SA) but their pages offer no consular services beyond representation. The Jakarta Embassy pages do not name Australia in the text read, so its accreditation to Australia rests on the Australian government listing.
Contact details for every office are on the page of the embassy and consulates of Tanzania.
