Turkish citizens in Australia apply in person for a new, renewed or replacement Turkish passport. Fingerprints are taken at the appointment, and applications by post are not accepted for anyone, including infants.

Consulate-General of Türkiye in Sydney (Woollahra, NSW; jurisdiction: Australia except VIC, SA, TAS and WA) and Consulate-General in South Melbourne (VIC; jurisdiction: VIC, SA, TAS, WA). Embassy in Canberra also exists.

How to apply
Book on the national consular appointment system www.konsolosluk.gov.tr; each service needs its own appointment | attend in person with originals (children too) | for several people, add companions when booking so consecutive slots are created
Documents you need
- Turkish ID card or national ID booklet showing the Turkish ID number (photo needed over age 15)
- Two biometric photos 5x6 cm, white background, under 6 months old
- Old passport unless first application
- Written petition if the passport was lost
- Guardianship decision and consent if under guardianship
- For under-18s, parental consent (both parents attend, or notarised consent from an absent parent; special rules for divorce, imprisonment or birth outside marriage)

- Official fee: current-year passport fee, booklet fee and postage fee, paid in cash; amounts not published
