Tanzanian citizens who are stranded abroad or being deported and cannot obtain a passport can be issued an emergency travel document by a Tanzanian mission. Replacement of a lost or stolen passport needs a police report and a sworn declaration.
Where to apply in Australia
Embassy of Tanzania, Jakarta (accredited mission); no resident mission in Australia. No resident mission in Australia; the mission accredited from abroad is the Embassy in Jakarta, Indonesia (Jl. Iskandarsyah II No.89A, Melawai, Jakarta Selatan; jakarta@nje.go.tz; +62 11 720 2410). Honorary Consulates exist in Perth (WA, also covering QLD, NSW, NT), Melbourne (VIC and TAS) and Adelaide (SA) but their pages offer no consular services beyond representation. The Jakarta Embassy pages do not name Australia in the text read, so its accreditation to Australia rests on the Australian government listing.
