Slovak citizens abroad can apply to renew, replace or update their national ID card at the Consulate-General. The card can also be requested at any Slovak police district office or consular office.
Where to apply in Australia
Consulate-General of the Slovak Republic, Level 15, 179 Elizabeth Street, Sydney NSW; the Sydney post serves Australia-wide (the Embassy in Canberra has no separate consular counter listed on the pages used). Appointments for in-person matters are held only on the Consulate-General's counter days.
Honorary consulates (Brisbane, Ferntree Gully VIC, West Perth) are listed in the national register; the Sydney pages only say an honorary consul in Australia can verify signatures for use in Slovakia. No other service is described as available at honorary posts.
