Check with the office. The official pages for this service leave out some details, or are older than a year. Use this page as a starting point and confirm fees and documents before you apply.

Consulates issue a special power of attorney so another person can handle legal, judicial or administrative matters in Ecuador for someone abroad. Ecuadorians, foreigners and legal entities can request it.

Where to apply in Australia

Embassy of Ecuador in Canberra (Yarralumla, ACT) and honorary consulates in Adelaide/Rostrevor (South Australia) and Victoria. The ministry pages describe the service for Ecuadorian consulates abroad in general; which Australian post performs each service was not published on pages that could be read (the embassy site blocks automated reading), so contact the embassy first.

Contact details for every office are on the page of the embassy and consulates of Ecuador.

How to apply

Contact the nearest consulate | present the documents in person | pay the consular fee | sign and receive the physical original; it can be verified online with a code sent by email
