Ecuadorian citizens abroad apply in person at a consulate for a first-time or renewed ordinary passport valid for 10 years. Minors must attend with both parents or provide a special power of attorney from the absent parent.
Where to apply in Australia
Embassy of Ecuador in Canberra (Yarralumla, ACT) and honorary consulates in Adelaide/Rostrevor (South Australia) and Victoria. The ministry pages describe the service for Ecuadorian consulates abroad in general; which Australian post performs each service was not published on pages that could be read (the embassy site blocks automated reading), so contact the embassy first.
Contact details for every office are on the page of the embassy and consulates of Ecuador.
